The Stanley Cup Finals. There are no words.

Write the Future

This video is awesome.  What I love about this video most is the line at the end.  Write the future.  I’m no soccer champion (although I did score from a corner kick once) but I try to write the future every single day.

The Vancouver 2010 Olympics

The Vancouver 2010 Olympics were an epic success.  Canada did an amazing job of hosting the games.  Stephen Harper sat back with Wayne Gretzky and watched on with rest of Canada and millions of Americans as the historic Canada vs. US Gold Medal Hockey game unfolded.

I watched this game with my family, with my Macbook in front of me so I could watch tweets about the game in real time.  I did not miss a single game the Canadian Men’s hockey team played during the tournament.

The first and only Canadian loss came to the US, with Brodeur in net.  Going into the Gold Medal game the pressure was on for the Canadian team to redeem itself, and for the US team to try and upset a nation.

A nation roared in agony when the US team tied the game, with just seconds remaining in the third.  A nation cheered with joy and relief when the puck slipped past the US goalie a few minutes into overtime.

Sydney Crosby was the hero in this Gold Medal hockey game.  His goal went five hole on the outstanding US goalie, Miller.  Miller was named MVP of the tournament, but when asked how he felt about the tournament he replied “It feels like crap.”  Crosby’s game winning puck now lives in the Hockey Hall of Fame, in downtown Toronto.

Canada finished with 14 gold medals, more than any country has won ever before at the Winter Olympics.

Canadian Olympians should be proud of their achievements this year.  Thanks to them for years to come Canadians will reflect on the Vancouver 2010 with a smile.

Vancouver 2010 - Winter Olympic Games

I am pretty excited about the 2010 Winter Olympics being held in Vancouver, Canada, next year.  So excited, in fact, that I created a Vancouver 2010 Twitter List of all of the best Vancouver 2010 Olympics news sources on Twitter.

I am hoping for a repeat of the 2002 Ice Hockey Double Gold Victories by our Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey teams!

I am looking forward to all of the different Winter Olympic Games!
